www.vernoncoleman.com Forces Labour Ministers To Admit Lords Cannot
Squash Anti-Hunting Bill
Late on 30th June 2003 (as
soon as the House of Commons Vote was announced), www.vernoncoleman.com faxed
press agencies, newspapers, TV and radio stations with a reminder of the
promises made by Blair and Morley (see associated story below).
By 1st
July 2003, Labour Ministers publicly admitted that the Government would not dare
allow the House of Lords to delay or interfere with the anti-hunting bill.
Ministers, reminded of their Government's promises, were clearly aware
of the danger of allowing the House of Lords to stop the bill becoming law.
Vernon Coleman has written promises from both Blair and Morley that this
would not be allowed. The Labour Government is aware that if the House of Lords
is allowed to stop the bill, copies of those letters would once again be sent to
all MPs and journalists.
